The Porsche Cayenne is a fresh five-seat mid-size luxury sport utility vehicle that has been in production since 2002. The platform is shared with Volkswagen Touareg. The car is equipped with plenty of new technology, which has its pros and cons as the fancy equipment can need some maintenance. The used Porsche Cayenne has precise braking and the steering is very stable and easy. The position of the seats is high, allowing for better vision than in a regular car. Air conditioning is an asset in the used Porsche Cayenne as it purifies the polluted air of big cities. The acceleration is very impressive for a car of this size (0-60mph or 100km/h can be reached in 5 seconds flat). Some have still not been entirely satisfied with the engine, which has been pointed out to be slightly too small for a car of this size. This can occasionally necessitate the need to switch to a lower gear when driving up a hill. This said, the used Porsche Cayenne will never fail to get up a hill and will do a good job climbing and descending gradients you would have difficulties walking. Running costs of the used Porsche Cayenne are not low, but this cannot be expected for such a luxury sport utility vehicle like this.

I have been reading an awful lot of reports lately in regards to vehicle safety and what is being done by the main car manufacturers in terms of providing a safer and secure environment for cars and drivers. One new innovation that was brought to my attention was a fuel saving tool currently being worked on that will help motorists get more miles to the gallon from their cars. Apparently it is a small gadget that will be attached to the cars fuel section and will thin the petrol / diesel fuel making there be less consumed by the engine itself. This will therefore mean that costs will be saved on all fuel as drivers won’t have to fill up as often as they normally would. The good thing about this new tool is that it can be incorporated into used cars or cars that are not necessarily on the production line. In the past, any new type of gadgetry has always been incorporated whilst a vehicle is being built in the car factory. However, designers and technicians have figures out a way in which to allow all types of cars; both new and used to have this device within the configuration. I think that this is an absolutely outstanding idea and one that I hope will develop into something very big for the car market and industry. Whilst the prices of fuel may have decreased of late, the fact remains that compare to many other countries, due to UK tax laws, we pay much more for petrol and diesel than many others within Europe and worldwide. So, with the introduction of such devices, it will also have a knock on effect in terms of the price of oil in that there will be less fuel needed and therefore this will decrease the demand. The knock on effect being that the price of oil will also become less and therefore further savings can be achieved. However, whilst all of this sounds very nice, the idea and device is yet to be enforced and so we could be waiting a while longer yet.

GAP Insurance for Contract Hire

GAP insurance, as all seasoned drivers will know, may have many different faces depending on what is going to be insured; the type of vehicle and subtype of insurance policy. Contract Hire or simply Lease, gap insurance can be obtained for a vehicle on arrangement only, but at the same time it is available to both companies and private individuals. If you have your car on lease or hire, it seems to be a good protection should anything bad and unexpected happen to the car, which is not owned by you. Companies dealing with Contract Hire GAP insurance are usually able to cover cars which are up to three or five years old and for a maximum period of around five years. In most cases Contract Hire GAP insurance is available for the period of time you require. So, if you have already leased the car for up to circa 6 months into a four or five year lease - you are supposed to pay only for the remaining cover. If, for any reason, the vehicle is written off during the contract hire or lease agreement, the driver will be personally liable for any financial shortfall remaining unless the car is protected by the Lease GAP Insurance. The amount of Contract Hire GAP insurance shall simply fit the difference between what you owe to the contract hire company and the settlement provided by the motor insurance company.
